help me diagnosis electric window
I've been having problems with my passenger side power window. At first when the problem started, the window with get to the top and the motor would still want to run. Now, it's almost as if the window is getting locked in place and we'll go up a little bit, and then down a little bit, and will never get all the way rolled up. is this a common problem?or does it seem like a problem that dictates that I change the regulator or the electric motor?

Yeah your motor and gearbox have issues, there are composite rollers in the gearbox that are known to disintegrate and allow the window to slip. Here is a kit to fix that.. Ford Motor Rebuild Kit
The other problem sounds like a problem with the motor itself so you may have to source a rebuilt unit, but these same motors were used for 20 or 30 years in many Ford vehicles so they are cheap and easy to find.

Sounds like the bushings are slipping. I'm assuming you can hear the motor run, but the window won't go up or down. There is a cheaper alternative. Just replace the bushing inside the motor with three steel nuts. I did this repair last weekend. Took longer to fish out one of my dropped sockets than the repair. See here.
