Looking for axle wrap solutions. Any preferences on one brand or another for traction bars? Debated making a set but extra time is not a luxury I have at the moment.
I run PMF bars that attach to the axle with the u-bolts. I had to convert to flip the u-bolts and upgraded to 3/4"...I have a Dana 80. They do the job for what i need. they helps smooth out shifts as well.
One Up Offroad used to make a killer kit but they sold out to S&B. Not sure when they were last available but S&B doesn't seem to support us anymore besides intake and cab mounts
I haven't run traction bars so no advice or recommendations but what finally worked for my truck was some simple spring clamps I threw together with some 1/4 x 1 1/2 angle iron and 5/8 grade 8 bolts. There was a little trial and error finding where to place them on the spring. The Googleverse has a few different schools of thought on theory but I ended up with two clamps /spring, one forward and the other rearwards. Between the x'clamps and making sure the pinion angle is set correctly finally cured my axle wrap issues.
Do you have the gusseted or the tubular design? I'm looking for something for my 2024 F250. I have terrible axle wrap when towing my travel trailer through the sand dunes.
