need help finding a part or kit. Fuel pump works great, it’s leaking above the sediment bowl. Attached is the part that is needed. It looks like a gasket of some sort, but is made of rubber with what appears to be a hump in it. Any help is appreciated
This is not the original factory pump, I bought it off eBay in 2023. Attached is all of the info I have on it. As o said the pump is performing well, just leaking above the sediment bowl. Thanks again!!
Ok, I completely forgot I had a shop manual. I learned the piece needed is called a “pulsator”. So, now the question is what purpose does it serve? Anyone have an idea where I can get one? Thanks again!!
I poked around and can't find the parts. You might end up with another pump from Ebay! 1957 1958 1959 1960 1961 Ford Truck Rebuilt Fuel Pump 4394 * BR | eBay If this is what you need, might be cheaper than a kit anyway. The fuel pump on my '60 223 went this winter as well. Ended up buying a couple NOS pumps for spare. I had a full take of gas and nearly all of it leaked slowly out thru the seal just above the filter! You gotta love it!
Sounds good, quick question though. The pump is working fine. What would keep me from making that same piece out of fuel resistant gasket material? Using the original piece as a template.
