HPOP Stainless Hard Lines

Does anyone make hard stainless lines for the HPOP? If not, why?

I've looked and can only find hoses except for the hard line crossover from Riff Raff.

I would much prefer the clean look of the hard lines over the hoses. The valley of the 7.3 can already look like a cluttered mess and dirty hoses that don't run straight only adds to it.

I have the Riff Raff hard lined crossover and the CNC Fab 4 line fuel system with the billet distribution block and hard lines. With quality and performance a given, I specifically chose these as they are routed very clean, look clean, and do not have a braided stainless jacketing to collect oil and grime and look like crap.

I think nicely routed stainless lined from the HPOP would look tight.

I agree that making your own is probably the best way to go.

I searched for a reason why and apparently someine made some yesrs back but they dont now. Alot of myths and theories on why they don't exist but no hard evidence to say they won't work.

That is possible.

I just figure a lot of folks could have made their own or shops like Riff Raff, CNC Fab, Dieselsite, etc. could easily also as I would think there would be a market so there must be a reason why not.

Like maybe concerns of the constant pressure pulsations or some type of harmonics that could lead to cracking. Maybe not, just thinking out loud here.

A potential issue could be if there are slight variations in the dimensions with the HPOP between manufacturers or different castings through the years as the lines really need to be exact in in sizing to get a proper fit/seal at the fittings. Maybe it is as simple as that as to why shops do not offer them for mail order.

If you believe there to be a market, make and sell them.

I have with some odd BMW parts, people saying they want it versus buying it are totally different. I made the part as I WANTED it and no one made it. Took me years of trial and error plus buying custom machine tools to make it.

The hard "crossover" lines have a hard enough time making a decent seal. There's no way I would intentionally introduce a known leakage issue onto my engine. Thin stainless line work hardens from vibration like crazy and would likely break off after a while anyhow.

The good thing is that the crossover lines aren't necessary (or beneficial anyway) so one can skip that leak point.

Thermal expansion of all components needs to be taken into account and the hoses allow for the thermal movement.
