I've used silicon bronze and aluminum bronze TIG filler and have seen others use it on body panels. I never knew there was silicon bronze MIG wire. Please follow up on this if you try it.

A friend of mine has it set up on his Miller Multimatic 250 with a push/pull gun. I do not have a push/pull gun for my Millermatic 350P, and I really do not want to spend the money since I would rarely use it.
I am trying to figure out if it pays to take my cab over to my friend’s place to braze on the cab corners, or just weld them on with pulse arc.
That is why I am looking for folks with the experience so I can make an informed decision.
I am thinking that the steel on those old trucks is heavy enough that my pulse arc will work just fine. I have already filled many holes.
The MIG brazing seems to be recommended by the factories for repairs that are connecting to hardened steel. I did not realize how much the factories use this process on new cars.
