EGR question

Hi. Wanting some opinions. I’ve been thinking about reinstalling an EGR valve and EGR cooler on my truck. If I did it would be the more reliable version cooler from Bullet Proof Diesel. In this day and age I’m thinking it might be the way to go. Has anyone else reinstalled an EGR valve and cooler on their trucks? Or is the general consensus that I should not mess with it.

I am in CA and reinstalled it for emissions because smog guys were just getting very critical, no fault of their own.

My truck is now registered in AZ where there are no emissions. My cooler is in place, the valve out and a spool in its place to eliminate exhaust flow.

Unless you are subject to smogs or inspection, If you don't have to re-install the question is why would you?

I guess the question is why? I don’t think you really explained the need to do this work. Does MO require it?
