I posted that video in the CCV change interval thread on 4/11. It sure looks like that the little filter in there will clog up in no time. Just wondering if it has a bypass built into it somehow, like the big replaceable filter version did, where if the filter clogs, the rubber bypass valve in it (IIRC it was orange in color) was supposed to open to allow flow into the intake. If I ever decide to replace mine, to cut mine open and do a deeper dive for my own research, as @scraprat cut his open, I'll buy the one for my gen with just the baffles and non-serviceable. I do want to service the "PCV" valve part of my box as I bought the Dorman service parts kit for it.
In retrospec I should have left the original 2019 CCV box on mine. Very fishy that just months after installing the new box my upper oil pan started leaking. So next month I am going to try and have that leak fixed under the provisions of my extended warranty, and if all goes well I will install a CCV delete when I get the truck back home. Screw all this nonsense.
I dont think its a filter...it has 3 holes going in and one hole going out...the alleged filter seems to be a screen fence that just surrounds the opening of the 3 input holes....maybe the alleged filter is just some type of guard that keeps drop down dropplets from rolling into the 3 inlet holes.

Whatever it is, it sure looks like it could potentially cause a problem with back pressure causing a seal to blow out. Plus the box and "baffling" much smaller in size than the earlier gen boxes.

I think the droplets fall around the outside of the screen and roll to the bottom preventing exactly what you discribe .
I agree, it doesn't seem to me that they took the time to actually study the new box very well. I like their products, but their videos not so much.
They're interested in selling product, not explaining how the OEM part works. That said, I'm still considering pulling the trigger on their CCV recirc kit.
If this filter is paper like he's saying, how long before it's clogged up like the original replaceable filter with the screws in the top but which was a bigger filter.
It is spring loaded, acting like an oil filter bypass valve, and appears to be a different media. It is likely more efficient at lower flows than higher.
It still has the valve that shuts the whole system off at high boost which a bad idea in my book.
I would definitely buy his system if I had to run a closed system.
As to selling his products, I agree, but I get middle shcool book report vibes from his videos. Unscripted unrehearsed, and poorly researched explanations.
Again I buy and use his products, I don't think his videos about them are anywhere close to what they could/should be.
At about 1:56 he says the original CCV box (without bolts on top) contained a non-serviceable filter element. Other videos that show actual cross sections of this box show no such filter element. Only what appears to be a cluster of cyclone separators.
Here's the post where I shared pics inside the CCV box of my 2020. No filter, unless there's one in the rear part that's not visible when you remove the bolt on lid. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post19438938
