Can someone please take an accurate measurement of the width of the bed between the two vertical portions of the wheel wells for me? I'm looking at a slide-in camper for my '92 F250, and both of my OBS trucks have bed liners that come up and out over the rails, and have toppers sitting on top of them. Kinda hard to get them out for this...
The camper measures 48-3/8" at the front (it has 3/16" angle iron brackets on each corner), and while I assume it will fit (since a 4' x 8' sheet will lay flat), I don't know if that extra 3/8" is a deal breaker, as I'd rather slide the camper in place than drop it in place.
I didn't know how much clearance there would be, as I hear that Manufacturers have been "tightening things up" (since the 60's and 70's) to save weight and costs.
