I don't have an Apple device, and I believe Apple has restricted the D-Switch's ability to be on Carplay because of the category they assigned to it. I know it works with Android Auto.

You can still use the app on your Apple device and not deal with wires or bringing anything else into the cab.

The D switch sounds interesting. Did a quick look but is it only $600ish or do you have to buy more parts? thanks.

You mount the power control box (I don't know what to call it) in the engine bay or wherever you want, and the actual switch panel (in the cab or engine bay) however you want. I used bulletpoint mounts (they have one made for the switch panel) in the cab. It was around$20 (Link) for that particular mount. Dynamic Diode runs 10% off sales fairly regularly.
