M235 Diff Cover
My 2024 F-250 has the Dana M235 front axle. Has anyone purchased the Ford Performance differential cover that is meant for the rear axle on the Bronco Raptor and used it instead on the front axle of their F-250?

The Ford website claims it only fits the Bronco Raptor, but I think this may be because of the three bolts that are meant to hold line connectors on the rear axle of the Bronco. I can't imagine those would cause any problems when used on the front axle of the F-250, other than just sticking out more than normal bolts. There are a few other manufacturers that I have seen making an M235 cover, but they are significantly more expensive than the Ford Performance cover. I have a Ford Performance cover on my rear Sterling 10.5 and I like it.
Also for anyone who has installed any Ford Performance cover, dumb question but which side of the gasket faces the cover and which side faces the diff? There is nothing in the instructions on this and it seemed to line up with the bolt holes either way. I installed with the green (fibrous) side facing the diff since that surface is not as smooth as the diff cover surface. I put the smooth silver surface facing "out" toward the diff cover. Seems to be doing just fine with no leaks, but have only put about 500 miles on it since installing.
