390 cam and lifter help

Hello everyone, I have a 1972 camper special with a 390 in it and she had developed a loud lifter clack and an intake leak so today I pulled everything apart and saw that two of the lifters were pitted and pretty well worn. I’m looking for very mild upgrade cam and lifter set something I can use stock Valve train components with

I'm assuming you want a budget minded set? I'd say check Summit, Jegs or Speedway Motors.

What does the rest of the engine look like?

engine looks pretty clean actually had a new timing set recently installed and a edlebrook intake had the truck since I was 15 just turned 18 and she got 12000 miles , but even with the lifter clack she would pull 18 lbs of vac

As long as your cylinders and pistons look good, you'll have no problem. It would have been nice to do a compression test before you tore it down, but you're committed now.

I haven’t pulled the heads to see what the pistons and cylinders look like was thinking about pulling heads and just do a valve job since I’m this far

If it's got 12000 miles you have a big worry about that cam. If it's 120000 it's just worn out and you should look at the heads as FEs have a tendency to wear valve seats with out leaded gas.
