You have a 6 volt ignition so it will sound pretty authentic for you. I am running one of those on a 12 volt system thru a 1 ohm resistor, and it sounds good, until you are driving up to speed, then the horn runs faster and it starts to sound a little squirrelly. I have been meaning to build a regulated 12 to 6 volt power supply for it.
You can adjust the tone on them with a screwdriver on the back of the unit. You might want to remove the "can" on the back of it to clean the carbon off the commutator, and if it needs it, a small drop of oil on the bearings. Back in the day, Ford and other manufacturers had maintenance information on those horns in their shop manuals.
They are kind of fun to have. At traffic lights when folks want to roll down their windows and ask about my truck, I always give them a honk or an ARROOHGA. I get a lot of laughs as the light turns green.
