I am currently running the 10k mod stacked with the 60hp setting on the older 60/80 Superchips Microtuner with good results. I received approx. 1 mpg improvement in fuel economy and a noticable increase in power and acceleration. I'd say it's worth a try.

Do either of you know where I can get info on doing this mod? I saw another post that had a rough digram but I'd prefer some details like wire colors and locations etc... I'll be doing it on a 1999 f350. Thanks.

OK, I guess I am still clem, i updated my profile but didn't change my username. I guess I'll have to think of one related to ford deisel trucks and power and speed and showing off and and being the bigest thing on the road and speending all my extra money on my truck.

Welcome Clem. Everyone here is glad to help. Hope you enjoy the site. Glad to have another fellow Powerstoker. By the way, when I did my 10k mod, I put the resistor on a switch and probed the wiring thru the top of the ICP sensor with wires cut from another resistor.

Thanks mueckster, I think a switch will work better for me too. I like a smooth idle and read some other posts saying it might cause rough idle. I'm working on the road for the next couple of months and wifey has my rig in MT. hoping new position will get me back to MT by feb or march. Just bought a new place with 30X40 heated shop and plan to take advantage of the room by punchin out my rig. after all, i waited 5 years and 50,000 miles, now it time to have some fun.

Is this mod doable on a 95 7.3? I can't seem to locate my ICP switch. Anybody know what color the three wires on the switch are?

It's located at the front of the driverside head on the inside by the fuel filter. The wires should be Blue w/green stripe, Gray w/red stripe. and Brown w/ can't remember. Hope that helps.

Nothing bad. I simply think it's a lot easier to make the connection through the top than trying to get it to stay in from the bottom while you are plugging it back in with the wires inserted from the bottom.

I plugged mine in through the bottom because I didn't know if I would ruin that purple thing by prying it out or not. I was a pain in the butt getting it in through the bottom.
