Accelerator pedal rod firewall boot

I am putting everything back to and I can’t remember if there was a boot for the accelerator pedal rod as it goes through the firewall.

I can’t find anything on the internet but can’t imagine there wasn’t anything there.

Any ideas fellas?

Ive never seen a boot for that. On my 70 and 72, they had a putty sealing that off. So when I did my 72, I had some strips of a sealant that I used where the fenders and inner fenders come together. I just balled up multiple strips together and the sealed it up. If I find a pic I will attach it.

Butle tape or strip caulk I believe is what it should be

There is no boot needed. The pedal bracket covers the hole and just uses a butyl rope/strip caulk sealer, as mentioned, to seal.
