It would run fine and tend to make a lot of low speed and mid range torque. That's what's strange about cams. Let's say you have two cams and run them in the engine. Both of them are ground using the same masters yet one is ground on something like 107 LSA and the other one is ground on a 114. What you would find is that the cam on the tighter lobe separation would tend to idle with less manifold vacuum and depending on the duration used it might even pick up a bit of a lope. The cam with the wider LSA would tend to idle smoother with more manifold vacuum. But when tested the cam with the narrower lobe sep would make more peak torque and have better low speed performance, just the opposite of what many people would think.

Yeah that's exactly what my truck feels like. Feels great off the mark, then kinda feels real sluggish from around 50mph or thereabouts. Thats good to know mate, thanks for your input again!

E6 heads.. how did you manage that? I thought I was the only person on the planet to put those on a 5.8. The set I had were heavily ported and still the motor fell on it's face at 4000rpm, it made great torque right from idle up though. These heads are just much too small and restrictive for this displacement, but the chamber design produces fantistic swirl, I remember how the first set of plugs had more deposits on one side vs the other. And the motor would tolerate a rediculous amount of ignition advance, just driving around it was happy with 18deg but towing I had to roll it back to 14deg or so.

Which GT40 heads ? The P heads use the same plugs as the E6 heads. The plug boss extends further into the chambers on both, that's probably why the differnce in the plugs after running them,
