I have a 2000 F350 XLT that I have owned since 2010. When I purchased the truck the interior lights worked as expected. A few years later, they stopped working. A few years after that, I had a backup cam rearview mirror installed and the tech found the interior lights fuse located in the engine compartment fuse box had blown. It was really nice to have interior lights again. Well, the fuse popped several years later again and I finally decided to see if I could locate a short. After installing a fresh fuse, I was saddened to see my interiors lights did not come back on. I did discover something odd that the dealer cannot explain either. They were pretty worthless actually. So the odd scenario is that my lights have the Gn/YL and Blu/Blk connected via the screws that tie into them and mount the cabin lights. The Gn/YL wire has constant power and the Blu/Blk does not. I assumed the Blu/Blk might be triggered by the door being open but that doesn't seem to be the case. The really odd thing is that I do not have the three wire connector that should have a plug on it. I also have de-loomed the entire harness from the base of the center pillar all the way to both lights. There does not seem to be any trace of where a loom might have been. Does anyone know where the three wire harness would connect into the factory harness and what color wires I need to locate to have the dome lights come on when the door is opened? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The photo shows the three wire connector, my truck is missing. I purchase two so that I can wire them in. Cheers!
