Trucks a 2011, F250 with the 6.2. Waterpump went out over the winter and swapped it out for a complete waterpump and fan clutch from US Motor Works off Rockauto. First fan clutch I got from them was DOA causing codes of no signal detected at fan clutch and relay was clicking in the fan clutch itself. Had it warranty exchanged out with another and thought it had fixed itself no relay clicking at the beginning and still no codes. It's been on there for about 2 months currently. Tried running the ac yesterday with it finally warming up ac won't engage at the clutch. Tested relay last night and found the #47 fuse was blown so replaced it and tried it again. Popped the fuse again so I pulled the harness off the ac compressor and so far it hadn't popped the fuse. I did notice though the fan clutch relay has started to click again leading me to believe this second fan clutch is also bad.
I want to try to test everything before I throw parts at it but can't take time to take it in and have someone diagnose it without taking time with off work so it's all after hours troubleshooting. Does anyone have a good way to test the fan clutch to verify if the clutch is bad and causing my ac to not work correctly. I am going to check it with forscan tonight and use a multimeter on the fan clutch to make sure voltage is correct but I'm 100% flying blind with this. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.
