Is the vacuum diagram still there? That will tell you where it goes.

A lot of those "dead head" right there at the vacuum reservoir if you do not have all the accessories that use the vacuum

I have never seen the upper and lower vacuum reservoirs tied together like that before. But, I found a VECI label for a 1997 F250/350 with a 7.5L engine:

The label shows tee.

You have two choices for where the output of each goes. One is for the EGR valve. The other is the AIRB/AIRD valve for the air injection system. Trace out the vacuum circuit that appears to be intact. The open port on the lower chamber needs to be connected or capped off.

Disregard the vacuum line and EVAP canister reference in the diagram. Your truck appears to be OBD-II that uses the newer style Vapor Management Valve.

The missing vacuum line runs to the purge solenoid that is in your picture top center on the firewall. It plugs into the bottom outlet. The solenoid has a round top with PA66 GF33 T8 on the top

Hello again hope I can help. My 97 F350 canister is capped at that outlet.. I do believe you are correct that the second line goes to the tank somewhere. Possibly top of the fuel pump/gas tank. Hard to see for sure.

If you need more vacuum line information just ask but be specific so I might provide photos if needed.

White line only goes to the reservoir. There is a red line from the vacuum tree on top of the engine going back to the check valve on the right side. One black line from the reservoir top goes to the tee. One goes all the way to the back left to the rear of the EGR solenoid. A small vac line goes off the left side of the tee to the fuel pressure regulator. If I miss identify parts let me know. There's more just depends on what you need to know.

i think it either goes to another canister or it goes to the Vapor management valve on the firewall
