I have a 1990 ford f350 7.3 liter diesel the fuel injection temp switch was bad i ordered a new one and it won't work either i think it is normally open are there two different switches open and closed ? need help please
it is not absolutely needed, i ran my truck for 200,000 miles before getting enough down time to replace the bad one.
i only know of one switch to fit in that position. there are two temp sensors. the one in the driver side head for the temp gauge and the one basically under the alternator which is for the timing advance and high idle.
it is a two prong sensor, ford part # E8TZ-9E939-A, and international part # 1803082C2
ford part number is out of stock everywhere.
here is the international part number on amazon for $60
