can i bypass the temp switch?

Once again I need some help. I believe the temp switch or relay is bad but can i test it? Or is there a way to bypass either one of these?

I know what you mean by that,,they cost to much to replace,, in the past on my ford trucks-- I just put on a new after market gauge on..other people I know do the same thing.
