hard 1-2 shift (automatic)

Hey Gents,

Hope everyone is well. My 2002 with 230k mile with a remaned Ford tranny (10 years ~ 40k miles ago) is shifting a little hard from 1st to 2nd gear. Drained and filled the trans (partial flush) and didnt help.

Almost feels like a broken motor mount...its not 100% consistent but anything below 3/4 throttle will produce this hard shift.

Any suggestions?

Could be the drive shaft support bearing, or loose pinion bolt, that's if it's not throwing any tranny codes

Sorry for delayed response. I'm not getting notification of responses. This hasn't happened before. Nothing in SPAM.

NO codes.

Ill check the pinion bolts!

Support bearing has maybe 30k miles on it.

Do these trucks have rubber engine mounts??? I never thought about it until now.

I checked the torque specs on the rusty bolts on the 2 u joints and carrier bearing and both were ok.

I pried on both u joints with a 2 foot breaker bar...for whatever that's worth. No obvious play.

I need to check my notes but I know I changed at least one of the u joints and the carrier bearing maybe 30k miles ago.
