So what is the issue? It runs off when you stop or go!
At certain speeds, the wind catches the bubble of water and splashes it on the windshield. Also, when it dries, you are left with two dirt spots there (pollen is the worst on a dark truck)
So far, after the 2016 F-150 and now the 2024 F-250, the only real design gripe I have relating to water/dirt/polen are the front and rear cameras. It's worse on the 2024, but I still consider it first world problems.
When washing the one place I have to come back to after being done seems to be the bottom "ridge" along the sides. From the front to rear I seem to miss that spot with the sponge.
I do get what you're saying about a dark truck. I went from Magnetic to Agate Black and I forgot how much you have to wash them. I think I washed the 2016 twice by hand and a few times through a touch free car wash, that was how well that one hid things.
My wife thinks she's Henry Ford, "I can have any color as long as it's black". She was always annoyed about the Magnetic and the Medium Wedgewood Blue I picked out on the other trucks. Every other vehicle in 30 years, black. If she didn't surprise me with it as a present I would have gone with Star White.

and if you drive just right, you can make that water blob dance around the hood
then tap brake and let it fly forward and blow back as a spray...yes we can have fun on the drive
It does seem a little nit picky to me too. An annoyance to some folks maybe, but nothing I'd spend time taking photos of and posting here. It's not going to change anything.
Pretty sure, but not positive, that it makes the water either run back or just fill the whole area. Same with parking SLIGHTLY uphill.
Discovered the issues with water pooling when we bought my wife's Expedition (agate black), then washed it. Had to go buy some good drying cloths and re-wash it because it looked terrible once it dried the first time. Now I wash it, spray the whole thing down to make sure it's wet (because black, so dries fast in the sun), then start drying it off top to bottom. Looks nice when it's done.
the good news is that there are options......dont like your current hood...there are after market replacements.....mine will be in house in 3 weeks...ordered it early December....
