You probably have 2 flashers, one for turn signals, the other for the 4-ways. Turn on the 4-ways, find it's flasher by the sound. You don't want that one. Your other flasher can be anywhere. If it was working, evidently the flasher wasn't removed from the fuse panel.
They sometimes go out of their way to hide these dang things, so you'll have to look all around up under the dash.
My old '86 was located on top of the steering column bracket, and I had to remove the whole dash to get to it.
Out of interest, has your heater blower motor quit too?
If you have no heater blower & no turn signals, try gently moving the ignition key backwards & forward slightly. Not as far forward as to engage the starter, or back to cut it off.
sidala....when you find out could you let me know!!!? I have the same problem and I've had auto parts people under the dash and we cant find it at all. Last night an Auto Zone cashier said it MAY be on the firewall. Will look today......
