I found a thread on here one time where a guy had pictures and description on howto repaint the Ford emblem. Anyone have a link to that thread by any chance?
If not - here is my question. I took a look at the emblem, and the blue Ford oval is set back within the chrome oval. Should I use a razorblade or something like that to pry up a corner and then use fishing line? (after I have heated it). Also, what should I use to get the paint off the back and reattach it?
this is how i did mine, its black by the way. heat the emblem and pry the center (blue) part from the chrome. Take your time, fish line sounds like a good idea, didnt do that though. just get some sand paper and start sanding the blue, be carefull to not go too far and get the chrom that says ford. after all the blue is gone your emblem should be a clearish color. Now just add paint. I used 3M double sided tape to stick it back together, the stuff with the red paper on it.
