Hey all, I bought a clutch kit for my FE390 that came with a couple bearings. The typical blue inside bearing I see people use is too big... it measures about 1.38" (Outside diameter) while the hole it's supposed to go in is about 1.255". I do have a bearing that came with the kit that does fit (Measures 1.26").. but the center hole is smaller than the center hole of the bigger bearing. My NP435 transmission is being serviced right now and I won't get it back till about a week.. so I don't know if the smaller bearing's hole is big enough for the NP435 to fit.
Anyone know what I should do in this instance? Maybe I am just wrong about the usual bearing (Blue inside one.. I'll take pictures) that people use and I should use the smaller one?
So I measured what I needed and it's essentially 17mmx32mmx10mm (Center OD x OD x Thickness) for the bearing needed. I found 17mmx31mmx10mm and 17mmx35mmx10mm.. so I ordered both and I guess we'll see what happens. I find this really strange... I have no idea why this bearing slot on my 390 is so different from the norm.
Are you trying to install the bearing on the inside step of the crankshaft instead of the outer flange
pilot bearing for an FE is 1.850 or 47 mm OD
Common spec is 1.850 x .669 x .400 or 47 x 17 x 10
The common 6303 bearing is what you should need

You know what? I think you are right. The large bushing that came with the clutch kit fits.. I need to remeasure and most likely need to get that bearing. I am such a dolt sometimes... All the time!
