Trying to install the NIlight tailgate LED light strip. Brake n turn signals work fine. But when I select reverse It says I have a trailer attacked so I don't have back up sensors. Thoughts?
If it's like all the other strip lights that I've seen that mount just below the tailgate, it's powered by the trailer connector. Thus, the truck thinks that you have a trailer attached?
So, the truck thinks that you have a trailer attached, as I surmised. It's detecting voltage being drawn to power that light strip (thinking that there are trailer lights doing so). I'm not sure that there's any way to overcome this, as it's part of the trailer package programming.
There should be a two pin connector in front of the license plate area. This provision is for the (3) LED light from Ford, plug and play and it will come on with the headlights.

Yeah, but that is just a marker light connection. That light strip the OP is attempting to install is for mirroring the turn, stop, and marker lights.
Question is, where does the BCM pickup the signal noting something plugged into the trailer plug pulling power?
You would have to hardwire it to the individual lighting circuits to get around that.
I have one that I have never tried to install because I use the trailer plug for trailers.
F150 LEDs sells a "Y" harness that plugs into the white block on the frame next to the spare tire. This will eliminate the issues with indicating that a trailer is attached. However, when I called, they would only sell it to me, IF, I purchased their extremely overpriced lightbar. But, if you are savvy, you can go down to that plug, locate your wires needed for Left, Right, Marker and Brake, install your weatherproof pigtails and you will be fine then. If I get a chance to get back out to my truck in this cold, I will send you the pictures and pinouts.

That would be extremely handy and greatly appreciated.
