Front License Plate Bracket

While I do like the no-drill front license plate bracket, it does have it's limitations. I've found that it doesn't cooperate well with the thicker acrylic plates. The bottom tabs aren't out far enough to get a plate behind them. I cut them off and while it helped get the plate on, now the bottom of the plate pops out some. Hence the reason for those tabs for state plates or regular license plates. Now, I guess the bracket is useless for both. At least it's easy to remove! LOL!

Anyone come up a different solution for thicker vanity plates and such?

Appreciate that. Nothing worth a poo came up when I did my search. Maybe I didn't have the right wording. You'd think it would have, though, being so recent.

Thinking may be able to keep what's there and get some short license plate screws for the bottom holes to keep it flat.

Thin plates work pretty good, while the thicker acrylic plates kick out at the bottom, even with the tabs cut off. Thought of adding a couple washers to the screw holes to kick the top of the plate out some.
