Steering angle sensor wire for aftermarket camera

I am new here and long story short, a couple of years ago I inherited my father’s 2015 f250. I am a Jeep guy and car enthusiast. The truck has been sitting for a year and a half. I wrecked my Jeep and decided to take the insurance money and fix up dad’s old truck and drive it for a while. Radio display was out so I installed an aftermarket touch screen radio with b/u cam. I am trying to find a source to get the wiring diagram for the steering column to hook up the steering angle sensor for the camera. Keep in mind, this is an xlt with no factory b/u cam, and I am assuming all trucks have the sensor even when not utilizing it from factory. Any information is helpful.

There is no wire for steering angle, there is a steering wheel angle sensor built into the SCCM (Steering Column Control Module) that sends its info over the HS CAN bus to the ABS module that then determines steering angle from the different speeds of the wheels and the steering wheel angle info. That is also only transmitted on the HS CAN bus.

Thanks.

Thanks. I am not a big ford guy, but an all around heavy metal guy. I was just looking to hook up the turn option on an aftermarket camera. This sounds like way too much work and research for that simple option. I can live without it. Thanks.

I don't understand why you need the steering angle sensor as an input to the radio to use the BU camera?
