Window bounce back
I tried several times following the instructions in the picture above in a hurried "Why did they make this so hard?" way and it didn't work. I made an appointment at the dealership but they said they would have to "diagnose it" which sounded to me like they're gonna charge me for it.
I got more determined to fix it myself. I followed the steps EXACTLY. I discovered that the steps say the engine must be running, I was doing it with the engine off. And there's a difference in the steps between pushing to the first detent and the second detent that I didn't notice when in a hurry. I finally followed the instructions exactly and now works fine.
I do think that it's caused by caused by something when operating the buttons. There have been a couple times when I was trying to put the front window and back window up or down at the same time and holding onto both buttons, I realized I didn't need to hold onto the front button, release it, but may have accidentally pressed the button or something. I think that's what caused it for me because it's the second time it's happened. But the instructions in the picture did work when I followed them very, very carefully.
Thanks for posting the instructions, Zeroo, and saving me a trip to the dealer and likely arguing about paying for it. I would have argued because the window was doing it while still under the three-year bumper-to-bumper warranty and I took it in for an oil change and I asked them to calibrate the window, they returned my truck and said there was nothing wrong with with the window. So I still thought it should be done under warranty. But doing it myself means I didn't have to argue with them about it.
