My new 2024 window started doing it. Watched videos and read threads but resetting doesn’t seem to work. Will make it to dealer but if its an easy fix I’m missing id rather do it.
My 23 did that shortly after I bought it, Took it into dealer and they reset just like the videos. I've confused the window a few times in 40,000 miles and had to retrain it myself. Not a big deal. Roll window up and HOLD button for 5 seconds after it gets all the way up, Roll window down and hold button. Usually all it takes.
I do notice I seem to mess up the window if I start it moving and remove my finger and then again press button. Seems to mess my window and it requires to be retrained.

Tried it several times, no luck. I will admit these buttons are different than the 2017-2022’s I’m used to.
Been trying to reset, not sure of the exact procedure but i think my issue is related to the window not going down all the way. As long as i hold the button al the way up(in auto mode) and hold it it stays up.
i hate dealing with service dept….
Had the same issue with my front driver's side and the learn procedures didn't work. Took it to the dealer and they tired the same with no luck so they rolled it the bay and did something with it with their computers and it's been fine ever since.
I can confirm the above instructions work. It is very specific and tricky, took a couple of times but worked. The first 2 things are what opens up the re-learning of the window. When you do it you window will immediately open all the way down. In my case the window would open and you still had a sliver of window visible. As you release the button from the initial set up it immediately dropped an inch or so. Then you have to run through the last items quickly, which are basically the generic instructions you see posted on YouTube/online but didn’t work for me. The key was the initial 2 steps..holding it down on first detent for 12 seconds, then holding down on the second detent for 2 seconds, that’s when my window dropped fully. I used a stop watch.

If your window isn't going all the way down then that needs to be looked into. Warranty will cover it. It's just not worth messing with yourself until they don't pay for it anymore. Will probably fix some of your issues since it's supposed to reach a certain point.

i fixed it. And it’s worth every penny to not have to deal with a dealerships service dept. Last resort. Read post right above yours.
Glad to see this. My 2024 has been doing this on the passenger side since almost new. It seems to usually happen when the window is around half way down and I use the auto function to close the window. I’ve tried a reset procedure but, it will eventually start bouncing back again. Driver’s side does it much less frequently. I’ll try the method posted before taking the truck in to dealer.

i did see someone mention a computer update for this issue. I hope it doesn’t come back. Cause the. It will be a trip to the dealer as mentioned above.

How is this working out?
On steps 9 forward, do you use the first or second detect on the switch? I can’t seem to get mine dialed. May need a trip to dealer, unfortunately.

iI believe I did the last steps all on the secod(full press/lift) detent. I practiced it and wrote it on a piece of paper in an easy to follow short hand. My window is still fine. I believe I was the cause of the issue in the first place by holding the button too long on auto..or something. They dont operate exactly as the previous models do, or feel like they do.
My 24 built 2/24 had the bouncing issue. Emailed my service guy, after trying the reset procedure multiple times... He said there is a software update for that, took it in (1/2025) they did it while I waited (and watched from a distance) 2 weeks later same deal. I have to take it back in.
I followed that procedure up above and mines still working good, probably 5000 miles of use since then. Not sure there is a “software update” for this but instead its just they can do it on the computer instead of trying the not so easy preocedure.
i think these windows are very sensitive and dont like the buttons pressed and held in auto mode(second indent) and it messes them up. Its easy to do though.
