My 94 F150 or throwing codes 452 and 542 I have crank but no start fuel pumps. Do cut on with ignition turn on. I have spark to the spark plugs it acts like it wants to turn over but does not. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or know where to go from here? I am just a shade tree mechanic, and would like pictures or explained as plainly as possible, please and thank you
Well I think I already found the issue. I found the ground wire for the PCM beside the test connectors. I took it off. It didn’t look terrible but had a little build up. I clean it up and reattached it. The truck still hesitated some but cranked up. Ran the code reader again with the truck off and running. All codes are gone.

You can do everyone a favor by posting the code description too.
452(M) Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) problem
542(O,M)Fuel pump open, bad ground or always on – – Power / Fuel Pump Circuits.
Lucky for you, I'm pretty well versed in the ways of the 1994 f series trucks, so lets get yours fixed.
Check your fuel pump ground by the driver side headlight, on the radiator support.

prior to reading your post I found G104 in the picture. I took it off and cleaned it up. The truck fired right up afterwards. I drove it to work and home today with no issues.
I have a new issue. I changed my oil and a the oil had a lot of golden glitter. This does not bode well.

Ive had no issues out of it. No knocking, not running funny, no abnormal smoke coming from the tailpipe. Nothing. Should I bite the bullet and take it to the shop and see what’s going wrong or change the oil and see if the flakes clear up? I saw another thread on here saying pretty much could go either way. More people leaned towards changing the oil frequently and seeing if the flakes got better or not.
I would just hate for it to be a simple fix and I create a larger problem by not doing something now.
Use a magnet to see if the flakes are magnetic.
If they're not magnetic, it's probably bearing material, which is bad.
If they're magnetic, it maybe pushrods or rockers, which are much easier to repair or replace.
It's up to you and your skill set and tool set regarding what your next move is.
