Finally gave the new truck her 1st bubble bath. Been a busy few weeks since bringing her home installing the items I took off my 17 Platinum like the tonneau, bed mat, dash cams etc. Also adding the new Timbrens that I had powder-coated 1st,, new torklift Talon camper tie-downs, tint, PPF, hood protector, front wheel well liners, modified consol organizer etc. Still waiting on new endlinks for my Hellwig Bigwig bar that I had powdercoated also.
Great looking truck! Would you mind sharing info on the hood/bug guard? Looking for that very same one for my 25 F350 HO SD. Thank you! Eddy
Thanks, I started by ordering an AVS off Amazon that was spaced off the hood like the Ford parts version on my 2017 and the fit was absolutely terrible, to the point I didn't even install it. I should have looked at the reviews because 40% rated it 1 star with the same comments. The vendor won't pay return shipping so now I have a $120 piece of useless plastic and I will continue to try and get my money back for this garbage.
This one is from Ford, has a small Ford logo and is a stick on. It has raised SUPER DUTY letters across the front which IMO brings that detail back to the front of the truck instead of hiding it like the AVS. On the glacier grey the deflector actually ties in the black of the grill and actually looks pretty good, again my opinion. I can't remember the price at Ford but it definitely was not excessive in any way. Especially when it saves the paint on the hood.
The Glacier grey TufSkinz came in today and installed them. I like the Super Duty but something tells me the Platinum looks too large.
I like what you have done. I don't think the Platinum looks too large. I was gonna do the same but decided I like the platinum plus appliqué better, so I bought one and had it painted agate black. Still on the fence about doing colored letters. I really like the all black factory look on my Ruby Red truck.
Managed to wash the truck, and I also need to do something on the tailgate applique! TuffSkinz are an avenue, but I hear of a few options out there but solid leads seem elusive. I think the letters are proportionate AMX, I did a double take when I seen the plate, we still have our house in Kelowna but we now split time 70/30 in a more business friendly environment.
