I have a 19 F350 6.7L Supercab short bed. When I ordered it new I selected the Adaptive Steering option. I’m not seeing it on the 25 Build & Price. Does anyone know if it has been incorporated as a standard feature or eliminated? Thanks
IIRC the Adaptive steering was removed in 22 MY. It was no longer an option, but that doesn't mean Ford eliminated it, but might have made it a standard feature of their steering for certain packages like the Pro backup? Maybe imagining it, but it feels like when I back my F350 up I don't have a lot of turns to make to go full wheel to wheel when going slow. My F450 had it, and it does feel the same when backing, but also have to remember the F450 had tighter turning too.
It was dropped, or no longer available beginning 2023. It may have been a build constraint prior to that, but it was no longer an option (or standard) starting 23MY.
I think it remained for one more year in the 150, being eliminated 24MY.
That’s too bad. My truck is in the shop for its 4th upper oil pan leak & they gave me a 2024 f150 as a loner. The difference is very apparent. Hopefully the SDs aren’t nearly so bad. Bringing it home in a rapid slowdown 90 degree turn off a 4 lane highway in our area the sluggish response & need to turn the wheel so much more to negotiate the turn was apparent.. in the f350 I whip around that corner fairly easily. I know we’re talking about 2 different beasts here. Maybe they have improved the SDs so that feature is no longer necessary but the sluggish response of the f150 really surprised me.
I have it on my 2022 F350 Platinum. It is part of the lane departure warning system in 2022 and older. In the newer models it is part of the Blue Cruise self Driving option. Also, if you have the backup feature where the truck steers for you when reversing with a trailer attached, you should have it.

Thanks for the response. Happy that it’s still available as a part of packaged options. “Don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone.” (Not) 😃

What he is describing is not Adaptive Steering, it is the electronic assisted power steering system that was introduced 2020MY. Different system and different purpose. Adaptive Steering was deleted, eliminated, no longer available starting 2023MY.
Some have speculated that it was problematic, but it's also been said in articles that it was do to supplier or component constraints. I have not seen anything official from Ford on it.
