Question Adaptive Steering - Add On?

Took delivery of my 2022 F350 SRW a few weeks ago... Like many folks, supply chain issues required the removal of Adaptive Steering from the order to get the truck built. My previous 2020 F350 had Adaptive Steering and I really miss it... Steering feel is a personal preference and I know many folks don't care for AS. For me, I now find the driving experience less enjoyable as with my 2020 F350.

Assuming supply issues clear and parts suddenly become available, does anyone know if adding Adaptive Steering after the factory is feasible?

Old fashioned adaptive steering

Im not sure what adaptive steering is but. I had a 1998 chevy and it had a valve that opened when the rpms were around cruise speed. It tightened the steering feel.

Is this what fords adaptive steering is?

the Superduty adaptive steering is a motor/gearbox IN the steering wheel/column that varies the output fron ehe steering shaft to the steering gearbox.
At slow speeds thro output is MORE then the divers input, higher speed can be the opposite.

Fords Adaptive steering doesn't really tighten or loosen the steering feel, it changes the steering ratio under various driving conditions. The most noticeable is at low speed, where the wheels will turn more with less rotation of the steering wheel than it would at higher speeds.

Positive caster ensures the vehicle moves straight with little to no steering wheel correction.

Negative caster improves steering at the expense of handling and stability when driving in a straight line.

Yours is neutral. You need more positive caster.

Thanks, what should my caster numbers be? and which number on the printout sheet would determine positive caster?

I thought we also determined that you don't have adaptive steering. Did you ever confirm that in the other thread?

Pretty sure Redford didn't mean to post in this thread, since this thread has nothing to do with caster or wandering.
