I'm looking to get a set of used OEM take-off wheels for use on our 2020 F350 XLT (7.3 gasser if that matters).
1) From what I've read about hub bore size, any prior OEM wheels from '99 onward should work (ie trucks with Dana axles can't take Sterling axle wheels, but Sterling axles can use both)
2) For TPMS compatibility, I'm assuming that anything in the '17-'22 range will work, but I'm wondering if previous generations ('11-16, '08-10') work? It looks like they are all 315Mhz from initial implementation in '07 until the change to 433Mhz in 2024, but the part numbers are different for different model years...
Start with 2017. The 16 and older may not work. There was a conversion period between steel body and aluminum, which didn't happen until the 2017 MY. You should be OK with TPMS starting 2017.

There is a set of 2015s available near me, so I was really hoping they would work - but this sounds like they might or might not...

They would work on an F150, but I don't think ford updated the Superduty receivers until it went to the aluminum body in 2017. You can get sensors on Amazon for ~$10 each or less. Don't waste time or money on used ones, think about it, they use a battery that can't be replaced, so a sensor from 2015 will be at the end of its lifespan by now, they are only good for roughly 10 years.
