I've been having trouble with lane keep aid and getting it working effectively on the 2022 platinum f250 superduty.
I noticed the part number of my ipma is LC3T-19H406-CD but when i plug that into the ford website it tells me it is for an expedition (i may have this wrong). It seems like the correct part number is LC3Z19H406C.
Is there any real difference with these two? Aside from buying one how would I determine this?
Thankyou. How would one determine if there was actually any difference in the functionality? Can assume if there is a different part number there must be some differences? Or is it simply buy and hope
It’s the same hardware but most likely they added some extra features for newer models, these newer features won’t always work with older trucks and the older hardware/software in them. Sometimes you can get lucky and update the firmware in other modules to use the newer features but that also brings the risk of bricking the module or software incompatibility.
The IPMA looks to be about $1500…. That’s not something I’d just ***** nilly replace without going through every step of the Ford shop manual and it saying to replace it.
It's interesting because I have the 8inch cluster but the service manual says I only have the old cluster. I can't write to the ipc to turn on traffic sign recognition at the moment and I wonder if that is due to the ipma being older. The service manual doesn't refer to the new cluster at all...
