Cool. So you removed the factory CCV box. Assume you had to buy a longer hose to mount your PCV can where you did? Is the can really needed for this scenario of venting to atmosphere?

I had a spool of 3/4" ID hose, used about ten feet of it to make the reach keeping it down hill all the way so it wouldn't puddle. The catch can is not needed to vent, the raw end of the hose will work too. The catch can prevents any sludge from dripping on other peoples new driveways. Most that do this mod just route the hose inside the drivers front wheel well.
