1994 f250 351w I swapped from a e4od to a np435 it was working to move it around the yard and what not, moved earlier this year and tried to drive it to the next house and lost everything. Fast forward 8 months I just got it back running after a new fuel pump, filter and a good tank clean. When I tried to drive it closer to the hose so I could give it a much needed bath I realized my clutch isn’t working how it should, still feels like there’s a bit of pedal but not enough to shift into 1st and I looked under it and there’s a leak coming from the slave cylinder or line from clutch master. Had to start it in gear to move it around. Also my brake pedal has no return I have to pick it back up everytime I hit the brakes seperate systems as well
Binding or sticking brake pedal bushings or bracket worn?
The brake pedal returns mainly using the spring in the master cylinder
The older trucks did have a pedal return spring but yours should not need one
However, you modified your truck to add a clutch pedal and that may be causing you grief
Pull the master cylinder rod off the pedal and the brake lamp switch
See if the pedal flaps back and forth nice and loose like it should
NP435 means you have an external slave now?
The plastic lined do crack once in a while and the slave cylinders leak often
Clean that all off down there and take a close look with a good flashlight
Have an assistant hold constant pressure on the clutch while you try to figure out where it leaks
