I am having a problem with my 1995 f-150, when I shift from 2nd to 3rd it feels like there is no resistance in the clutch. I mean it just kind of falls into gear and grinds em a little bit on the way, the clutch pedal is going all the way to the floor. I had the slave cylinder replaced last fall and I recently replaced the clutch master cylinder. I bled the clutch like you bleed a brake line. Is this correct?. any help or Ideas would be appreciated.
If your slave cylinder is inside you bleed it by opening the bleeder screw and pour brake fluid in the master cylinder until you get fluid coming out of the bleeder. Then you close and pump the clutch pedal 10 times . It tells you in the manaul to repeat this 5 tmes. After you pump it about 50 times hold it down and get someone to crack the bleeder screw. You will get a little shot of air and it should be all done. Top off the master cylinder agin and it should be o.k.
