Hello everyone,
currently I am experiencing some issues with my 2019 f250 6.7 power stroke. The issue that I am having is that when driving my truck every once in a while the turbo will get a super loud whistle and my boost psi will get super high anytime I hit the throttle. Fuel mileage goes right out the window. I thought that it was the vgt going out but what’s weird is if I pull over shut the truck off and let it sit for about 10 minutes and start it up again I quits and proceed to drive like it should. I did some digging on the internet and found that it could be a sensor issue so I pulled and replaced the clogged map sensor. I got way better fuel economy and the turbo never did that again until now about three bays later I’m driving and I hadn’t noticed it until I went to hit that gas and felt the truck studder extremely bad and blew a ton of black smoke out. And the turbo was back to doing what I did before. I didn’t have time to shut it off and start it again so I’m not sure if quit or is still doing it. Just looking for help on what it could be before I take it in to a shop. Also there are no codes but today my abs light came on it also said service anti trac system and hill decent was disabled.

I’ve never had a tuned diesel but as a diagnostic measure I’d probably try running at a different level (lower, IMO) and see if things change. Does the tuning company offer any support?
I had started back up after I was done hunting and it was fine so I had switch it to a completely different tune profile and it has been fine since. But it has been happening constantly it’s just been happening at random. And yes they offer support
I had similar problem 2014 T&D, Mine did not belch black smoke but it would from time to time go to full boost and lose power. I had changed MAP, MAF and couple others without improvement. Techs wouldn't work on it because they couldn't get codes. I finally replaced the EXHAUST PRESSURE SENSOR. Ford part was 170. Took like an hour to change it mostly rigging a wrench to disconnect it. Ended up using a crows foot on a skinny 3/8 inch ratchet. There are China parts for less than Ford if you want to just stick your toe in. lol There is a good video on line. Guy is as country as an outhouse but he makes a good video just search the sensor. Hope this helps.
