I commonly beat on my truck and like to hit the pad at shows. Never had issues before and truck took it like a champ, lately it has been overheating very quickly within maybe 30 seconds when before I could go for a couple minutes. I don’t care to hear all the guys who say baby it, I buy things to have fun.
forgot to mention. 2013 6.7 f350srw crew cab short bed, bought with 308k now has 340k, maintenance done early, full weight loss. Did a bigger radiator and intercooler trying to see if it helped and did some but not much

Well, does it have an engine in it? You never mentioned what it was or the truck or the miles or the maintenance.
I'm guessing, 500k miles 5.4 gas, bought at 340k, just fills it with gas. Start with a fresh coolant change.

I would replace your thermostat and check the FSN clutch as a start.
when you say overheating, are we talking 205*F or like 245*F?
30 seconds? Sounds Like a gauge issue.

On fire and coolant shooting everywhere...lol call the insurance company. You have a fuel leak that burned through a coolant hose.... this thread is evolving by the minute. What's next, it was carried off by a hot air balloon?
