Hey guys, have a mystery wire on my 95 F150 XLT 2WD. It comes out of the wiring harness and goes into the top of the fuse box and is wedged into a fuse. The wire is green with a red stripe, I can’t seem to find it on the wiring diagrams that I have. Anyone know what this is for?
My first guess would be, fog lights, cargo lights or a 12 volt outlet, that somebody added in.
My second guess would be that somebody had a charge indicator warning light, that wouldn't turn off, so they attached that wire, so it's got voltage whenever the key is on.
The only green with red stripe I see in Haynes, is the charge indicator light circuit. Maybe disconnect that wire, and see if the charge indicator light stays on when the truck is running.

I’ll yank it tomorrow and see what happens. If it’s for the cargo lights that could explain why they won’t turn off. I replaced the pigtails for the cargo lights a couple months ago and they melted the lens. Decided to just pull the bulbs and do without.
