Those windows were an aftermarket product that were installed in alot of 'conversion' trucks. Work pretty slick too! Don't recall the manufacturer though. Missed a chance to buy one awhile back..sure would be handy in my 95. I have a bad right shoulder so reaching to open/close the slider is almost impossible driving (even in my reg cab) and it would be nice to just flip a switch. Congrats on your find.

Ford offered a similar type as a dealer installed accessory in the mid 1980's.

Except...it went up and down.

My official 1992 F150 Ford Accessory catalog shows a rear window that was electric and went up and down.

OK, it was the 1990's. Heck...I can't remember everything!

After all, I retired in 1997, and didn't look in one truck parts catalog till 11/2006.

At least I remembered Ford offered it.

I also knew it was electric, but didn't mention it.

Hey ND---I didnt mean my post to be a "got you". I meant to reinforce your post that Ford did offer a power rear window that went up and down. The cab for the F150 didnt change from 80 to 96-and this power window would have been the same part for all of these years.

I have read most of your post on this site for a long time and find you and your part number information very informative and entertaining in the detail and insight.

I would bet that your dealership is still missing you-even after 11 years. Keep the info coming-we all need to learn from you. Take care!

Take some install pictures. I'm curious how this window installs. Bolts onto the cab or is their a panel that opens up on the back of the cab.
