well this is what happened so far:

i bought a new tps and was going to install. i decided to remove the throttle body to install the new tps and when i took it off the back side of the throttle plates were black as black can be. they were completely covered with oil blowby. the upper intake was also completely coated with this nasty black oily carbon deposit. the opening for the egr on the intake was almost clogged.

as a side note i dont remember if i mentioned that i was getting alot of oil in the filter box so i had replaced the pcv when i replaced the iac.

well i decided to remove the the upper intake and the nipple for the pcv was completely clogged. took about an hour and a can of carb cleaner to completely clean it out. i will be clean out the intake either tonight or tomorrow and reassemble. so before i try the tps i want to try it all cleaned up and ill let you know the results asap.

ohh by the way does anybody know where i can get replacement vacuum hoses (plastic ones) cuse i broke a few while removing the intake. pleas let me know

thanks

when I replaced my plastic vacuum lines I just used the rubber line, I did make sure there was enough slack to keep it from any unusual heat source, like the egr tube or exhaust, to answer your question, no. Good luck

If you have a self serve auto wrecker get your plastic lines there. You will need the tps to solve your trans problems so I would change it while you have everything apart.
