Falken tires are the best you'll find, but quiet they are not. I have used the Wildpeak A/T, Wildpeak A/T3W, Wildpeak R/T, and Wildpeak A/T4W. All of them hummmmmmm going down the highway. Personally I like it.
If you want QUIET tires stick with H/T only. Pick your brand. Firestone, Michelin, Cooper, etc. Any H/T will be silent on the road. But you'll be giving up snow traction and off-pavement traction.
Michelin's are quiet but they suck if roads are wet or snowy.
It's all trade-off's. Your "tough" looking tires will be the noisiest. The bigger the lugs, the bigger the voids, the bigger the noise.
I'm in WNY and what i Stated before, Michelins are good in the snow. That said, they do not perform like a dedicated truck snow tire but will get the job done. I live in the hills south of Buffalo. If we're talking ice on the road, no tire will help with that...
I'm on the NY/Canada border. Gotta have something decent on snowy roads. I once had a set of Cooper mud terrains. Sold them after about 3000 miles due to the noise.
I would not use a mud terrain tire in the winter... way less siping which is needed in the winter. Give me those Michelins and I'll be fine driving in snow.
I’m in Colorado and Michelins have always done well in snow & wet driving conditions for me along with handling well plus the aforementioned quiet aspect.
I think they win on the mileage as well- I got 58k out of my last set on my ‘20 F250 CCLB- they would have gone another winter but the tranny pooped the bed and I traded the truck in.
My only complaint (and keep in mind these were highway tread LTX’s) is they were less than stellar on wet grass & mud.

Thank you. I often read others say how quiet Falken Wildpeak AT3/4w is. My brother and my buddy have those and love the tires. I have done a couple of longer road trips in my buddy's F250 with those Falken and they hum along just as loud as my girlfriend's truck's much more aggressive Cooper ST Maxx. I don't think they are loud, but they are not quiet. Tire sound is also related to tire width. If you want a quieter tire sound, get a narrower tire.
Going to be hard to find an off road tire that’s quiet.
The Cooper ST Maxx are surprisingly quiet for a very aggressive Hybrid AT. I have had the ST MAXX in three tire sizes, and they don't really get above the normal hum sound until 12.5" wide. My buddy has General Grabber x3 in normal width and says they are not loud.

I don’t doubt you at all. I’ve had a bunch of different AT tires over the years. The longest lasting and by far the quietest tire I ever had was Michelin M/S. But it was also not a good off road tire.
I'll be going with stock Tremor tire size 285/75-18. I'm still researching but so far Walmart is leading the pack. Yokohama Geolander AT G015 at $1492 all in, tax/mounting/balancing are sitting in the cart.
But I'm still poking around, not 100% set on it just yet.

I'm currently running with General Grabber A/T (35x12.5x18). I chose these because of price (wife's nephew works for a tire dealer and could get me a deal on Generals only) $727.35 for all four with free mount and balance. To be honest, I'm very impressed with the performance after three years of rain, mud, snow, highway, and a lot of dirt fields, etc. I normally will run Firestone Trans Force H/T and get 80-90k miles before they would get side wall cracking and need to be replaced. So I'm real happy with the Generals, hope this helps.

Sure it helps. Every bit of info with personal experience is good.
How are they for highway noise? That's what makes me want to ditch these Goodyears more than anything.
TOYO AT3's, had the AT2's on my dually, got a lil over 40k out of them, put the Toyo AT3's on my Excursion, quiet and amazing, also have them on my Expy, winter snow/ice traction is exceptional, really haven't noticed the noise at all on either of them. I did look at the Falkens but they weren't available in 315/75/16 when I got the Toyo's.
