Hi, I recently bought a 2018 6.7 ps with 98k on the clock, I’ve noticed some rather concerning noise, I’m not very familiar with these engines but do know they make more of a knocking sound that has engines, I have uploaded a video and would like someone’s opinion if I’m just paranoid or if something is wrong
The thumping noise is from the intake…it echos valve train closings ….very slight in my opinion and you probally won’t even hear it when the engine is hot.
if it gets louder ..it could be rocker arms or rocker tips….very rare on a 6.7
