Engine help

I'm trying to figure out what the engine year, correct size, or what it might have came out of. It has a 77 F100 carb spacer, a mercruiser intake casting #D30E-8425-AA and 302 heads. Can't get a proper number from the block. Just curious if there is a way to find out what it is? Y-block?

If it has 302 heads it's probably a 302. Or one of the other related engines.

221 or 260: not likely.

289: not unless it's really old

302: most likely as that manifold number is for a 302 and comes up under Mercruiser.

A 302 manifold will fit the 221, 260 and 289 but that's less likely

351w: can't be, manifold wont fit.

Y-block: can't be, different design, different engine family.

Can't tell year or original application without block casting number and date code. And then it's a guess as 302s were in most Fords in those days.

The Ford Mercruiser 302 engines used 351 w heads and the intake manifold has a J in it.
