The other thing that has a hugh impact is if the truck has dual tanks or not because crossflow between tanks is very common problem.. whether the second tank works or not.
And then there is tire size, oversized tires which are very common will result in more miles travelled than indicated on the odometer which then makes fuel consumption look worse.

Making this alot harder than what it HAS to be don't cha think?

New pumps, both tanks, neither of which are at fault nor are they likely to be.
Thatlittleissue was addressed a longtime ago when both tanks were dropped, cleaned, new hoses installed and lined backup for the vent tubes ( betcha didn't calculate that one in).
Dash gauges ,aren't even dealt with....but the read out at the pumps is.

No sir. 195 on the t-stat,no DTC's at all. Nada. Cleared everyone after something like 18 months ( shes sat for a while as I go through the small stuff and wrap this thing up prior to me selling it,at some not to distant point in the future.

The only consistent DTC that crops up is that ABS sensor which is on the list. That one will be a while going through as I will be dropping the rear pan and get a clear tooth count and damage assesment. If needed, the tone ring will be addressed or worn gears.

But this mileage thing....and yes....80 miles is just about limit.
Hence me pondering the 4 port and doing something to something . Probably pulling what little hair I have left out.

I doubt injectors will help, other than you will have new injectors.

You mentioned “no DTC’s at all. Nada.” But then say “Cleared everyone after something like 18 months”.

Were there Codes? If so, what are they and how were they cleared? And what are you using to check them?

You should get a code if everything is working properly. What code/s are showing?

With no other info, I would suspect/guess the PCM is not compensating for a warmed engine and keeping it running rich. (Closed loop).

How much fuel are you burning in those 80 miles? Yes it is relevant, no one is making it harder than it has to be.

So you are getting the system pass code 111 from both KOEO and KOER tests? After driving ~150 miles it takes around 33 gallons to fill up both tanks? A faulty sensor like the coolant temp sensor could cause it to run rich if the computer thinks it is very cold .

Where did the current injectors originate?

One could be leaking/not closing. Hurts econ. Your O2 work?

+1 on the engine coolant temp. It was increasing ohms as temp increased instead of decreasing. Getting 16mpg on a 150 mile trip and burned half a tank. Mines a 5.0l w 3.55 gear.
