I believe I have my truck set to receive updates. It’s a 2023 purchased new. It’s parked in a pole barn where my cell phone has a hard time staying connected. I have never seen an update notification. Does it update when parked or driving? Can you “force” an update? Main update I am looking for is the compass on the dashboard.
I don’t think you can force one that has not downloaded. I read somewhere on this forum that certain parameters must be met to get them though. One of them being a good charge on the battery and others like doors locked, headlights switched to the off position. Not sure if any of that actually works or not. That was the reason I started this thread was to track when they came out because I never got the one for the compass either but have had others.

I've gotten them, doors locked, headlights are in the auto so not "switched off" but off automatically.
I haven't recieved the "Window Funtionality" or the "Powertrain Enhancement." I wonder how they parcel these out to owners? My system is set up to go grab updates at 1AM each morning, and I can't find a way to "Check for Updates" now. Did they take that feature away?
Is anyone else seeing the automatic high idle engage sooner than usual? Since this last update, I've noticed that my 2023 6.7L will bump up the idle RPM to around 1800 in about a minute of sitting still. It's got a pretty good roar to it too. But it's steady and predictable, intentional. Anyone else notice this?

I thought the same thing when I drove the truck the last two days.

Wonder why they would change that metric, to make it high-idle so quickly? Maybe an emissions thing? I like the idea of a high-idle, but I'd like to be the one controlling it, not Ford. Ram nailed this feature with the Cummins, using the parking brake and the cruise control settings.
