My 2004.5 Ford Excursion 6.0L PSD came with an SCT Livewire 9600 tuner. I know nothing about tuners. The gentleman that I purchased the vehicle from knew nothing as well and never touched it. I would like to know if I have a 'tune' installed and what I should do (if anything) with this tuner thing. Below is a screenshot of what I was able to pull up with the device plugged into the OBD-II port.
Based on my interwebs sleuthing, it appears that the firmware and tune versions listed are the most up-to date since SCT stopped supporting this device (circa June 2015). I was able to download all of the support software and stock tuner updates off an archived version of the SCT website. I was also able to find a copy of a manual, but it is very sparse on useful information.
Now for the questions...
Does this display suggest that I have a tune installed on my vehicle? If not, how would I further check?
Does 'married' as 'locked' mean that it will only work on this vehicle?
What does the number of unlocks left mean (looks like I have 5 remaining)?
